Due to the rapidly changing conditions brought about by the Covid-19 crisis, Music Aid Northwest has determined that our annual gala, “Play it Forward 10,” scheduled for Saturday, March 14th, should not proceed as scheduled. Please stay tuned for whether the event can be successfully rescheduled this year or if cancellation is required.
Although the Triple Door has assured us that they are doing their best to comply with all mandated standards for cleanliness and employee screening, they cannot assure guests attending the event will not face some risk of exposure and runs contrary to the mandatory restrictions announced by health authorities today, both locally and nationally by the CDC. In particular, it will be difficult if not impossible to meet the recommended social distancing guidelines and still provide the comradery and fun social event we want to produce.
Many of our performers and attendees are over sixty, and under the new guidelines outlined today by Governor Jay Inslee and King County Executive Dow Constantine, they are encouraged to stay home.
Play it Forward is a major source of the revenue for our Music Matters grant program. You have the option to ask for a refund, or we can use the money collected for 2020 grants and you will get a 100% tax deduction for your donation.
