🎶 The letter We Received from Bob Rink Below is At The Heart of Why We Do This!! 🎶
Dear Music Aid Northwest and WMEA,
I was one of the fortunate recipients of a MANW grant for the 2024-25 school year. Thank you! I teach beginning band at five elementary schools in the Puyallup School District. On an average year, 25-30 families request to borrow a school instrument because of financial constraints.
Using the grant monies, I was able to purchase eight new band instruments to distribute to students. How exciting it was to provide a brand-new instrument to a beginner and not have to dig up an old loaner that barely works.
Thank you, Bob Tomberg and associates, for the time and effort you have poured into the MANW project from the beginning. Your passion for music education and school children is an inspiration for us all.
Thank you, Scott Ketron, for your work as Executive Director of WMEA. I appreciate the administrative support given to the music matters grants.
I hope that the partnership between MANW and WMEA can produce many more wins in the future for the music students of Washington State.
With gratitude,
Bob Rink
