Play It Forward 5
Dear Seattle Music Community,
Wow! You guys really came through once again!
On behalf of the Board of Directors for Music Aid Northwest, as well as the countless scores of music students in our public schools, I’d like to extend my sincere thank you for the amazing generosity and that you showed last evening.
Play It Forward 5 was a resounding success. Between ticket sales, our silent auction and other donations, we raised over $27,000. As I mentioned last evening, 100% of the donations will go directly into classrooms around the state, continuing the work we began over ten years ago; helping to bridge the gap in state funding of our public school music programs.
I’d like to thank all of the talented musicians who donated their time and talents to put on the show. Night Argent, Ayron Jones, Randy Hansen and his band, Caspian Coberly, Heart By Heart, and last, but certainly not least, one of our founding board members and my very good friend, Mr. Alan White. We are eternally in your debt, one and all.
I’d also like to thank the Board of Directors for Music Aid Northwest for their tireless commitment to the kids in our state. To put on an event such as Play It Forward takes hundreds of hours of time to plan and execute, and our all-volunteer board never ceases to amaze me with their enthusiasm and dedication.
We couldn’t have staged the show without a small group of dedicated volunteers either. Lori, Jim, Jerry and Lois Photography, I thank you all.
I am inspired by the continued success that we’ve achieved thus far, and will continue to work hard until every child who wants to learn to play an instrument or learn to sing has the opportunity and means to do so.
Thank you one and all!
